Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Today, we do not celebrate Mexico's Independence Day that's Sept. 16th. Instead, May 5th marks Mexico's 1862 victory over the French.
Albeit a minor holiday in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo in the United States has evolved into a day of celebration of Mexican culture and heritage!
In honor of Mexico, we are "saluding" with Lumi Margarita's!
Recipe with Liquor:
Mix 1.5 oz of 100% agave tequila reposado with 1 oz of Cointreau & 2 oz Lumi Morning Sunrise. Shake and serve over ice or neat. It's your choice. Optional: Pinch of cayenne
Recipe without Liquor:
Mix muddled cilantro with 3 oz Morning Sunrise and 2 oz sparkling water. Serve over ice.
As they say in Mexico - Contra todo mal, tequila. Contra todo bien, tambien. (To remedy all ills, tequila. To celebrate good fortune, the same) Enjoy responsibly!
